As the marina village at Christophe Harbour continues to evolve, construction on seven luxury retail bays is nearly complete, and the first four retailers are confirmed to open by year’s end. This first phase will be home to a women’s boutique, home interiors and design center, an outdoor outfitters, and local art gallery.

While creating a best-in-class destination for the yachting community has always been a focus for the 2,500-acre luxury resort community in St. Kitts, creating a place that appeals to both visitors and island residents has always been the goal. “We looked to create an experience that is not only in keeping with the Christophe Harbour brand and a discerning lifestyle, but one that is carefully planned and rooted in authenticity,” stated Buddy Darby, Christophe Harbour CEO & Founder. “We are pleased to offer a mix of shops that not only showcases the best of St. Kitts and Nevis to visitors from around the world, but one that also shares a global influence in a complementary way and encourages a sense of community.”

The first four luxury shops to open at the end of 2016, include:

-        DALE, a local art gallery, will be the first to open in the village. The vision of St. Kitts native, artist and philanthropist Dale Kelley, DALE will showcase a collection of original work from the finest artists and craftsmen in St. Kitts and Nevis, including art, sculpture, pottery, leather goods, glassworks, and more.

-        Joya women’s boutique will feature a boho-chic look from upscale brands, including Camilla, Vanita Rosa, Perle by Lola, Ilesteva, and more. In addition to haute couture, Joya has also announced a collaboration with Kittitian jewelry maker Vikreations, whose island-inspired designs are a perfect complement to Joya fashion.

-        Offering fine outdoor sportswear and equipment for discerning lifestyles, Ballast Bay Outfitters will be the first true outfitter in the country. The shop will feature paddleboards, snorkeling gear, kayaks and other outdoor equipment and gear along with sundries including top brand sport sunglasses and skin care products.

-        Ro Sham Beaux home interiors will feature a home interiors collection that merges high design with natural elements from around the world. In addition to design services, the shop will offer furnishings, custom lighting, interior accessories, gifts and more.

The luxury retail shops join the 11-000-square foot Customs House as the anchor amenities for the emerging marina village. The Customs House will house marina operations, customs and immigration, fitness, real estate sales center, and a crew lounge when it opens mid-2017. The retail opening is slated to coincide with the festive carnival season on St. Kitts, the start of the Caribbean yachting season, and the anticipated Spring 2017 opening of Park Hyatt St Kitts - Christophe Harbour.
